Orange is my favorite color. From the snippets of persimmon-colored collections we saw last spring, it was only a matter of time till Pantone declared that the shade of 2012 would be Tangerine.
Thought not yet done with winter, (okay, it IS 80 degrees in LA) the spring colors are already popping up in windows.
This morning’s window hopping trip (hopping, not shopping) showed me this ensemble from F21. I love the orange. I do not love the front pleats of the royal blue capris. Though, if you wore this, I doubt many would even notice the pleats. Another great thing about orange, it demands the attention.
Sorry Elle Woods. In 2012, orange really is the new pink. Pleats or not.

Swap to It!
January 13, 2012It’s the new year, and many people I know are cleaning out their closets. I’ve been on a mission to de-clutter and re-organize. An easy solution? Hosting a clothing swap with your friends!
Look what I scored at a recent clothing swap a friend of mine hosted this week! No brand name, but these boots are comfy and all sorts of fabulous. Swapping clothes with friends is also a great way to divest yourself of clothes you no longer want, but may be holding onto because, “they are too nice” or “you might wear it again some day.” Sometimes it’s much easier to gift something to a friend rather than toss it or donate it away never to be seen again. Trading in your “barely-wear-em-anymore” frocks for new items you’re excited to style, is definitely a trade up!
